Is Therapy for you?
There’s a common misperception that you have to have reached a crisis point in your life to need therapy. This just isn’t true; therapy can help you make any life change from confidence building to working with trauma.
Therapy transcends age, religion, sexual orientation, educational background or financial status. It exists for everyone, to help you understand your thoughts and feelings and discover your true self.
People come to therapy for an array of issues and personal problems; addiction, grief, anxiety, depression, phobia and relationship issues to name a few. In our first session, we look at where you are and where you want to be, and we forge a path to that future. From the onset, we focus on what you want rather than want you don’t want. Even with this small simple shift in focus big change can happen.
You can be the person you want to be and live the life you choose to live.
They are also different stages of coping; some need a small helping hand, whilst others need a calm and safe space to work through overwhelming times.
Therapy gives you an insight into where you are right now, it allows space to work with the past if necessary, it brings choice into the present and motivation and hopes for the future.
Therapy can give you an insight into where you are right now and where you want to be, which affects how you interact with others and yourself.
Think of trying to ride a bike with your hands tied behind your back; therapy is like untying those knots so you can get those hands back on the handlebars, steering your life down a safe, calm and happy road. You’re in control.
